Special Thank You

To Mr. John Constant & Epic Landscape

THANK YOU for building this cross-country course.  When John Constant started this project this was nothing more than an empty field left to the elements for over 5 years.  People occasionally used the field to ride ATV’s, horses & the district used it for unloading dirt & used building materials.  Mr. Constant & his crew (spending his own time & money) pulled weeds, tilled & graded the soil, installed drainage systems, planted trees, seeded, watered, & keeps the course mowed.  In a matter of only 6 weeks, he was able to make the starting & finishing areas from nothing more than untended weeds.  He has also added the beautiful fencing, tent space, landscaping & signs you see around the entrance of the course. 

Without his commitment to this project, we would not be here today & the runners at BVSW would NOT have a place to run on campus.  We are not the only school that benefits from the course.  Aubry Bend Middle School does not have the luxury, which we do, to practice off campus & without the course, they would be forced to run around the parking lot or out on narrow 2 lane roads.  Even though his kids have graduated, he intends to continue to help the team & program.  He started the work on this course to help the cross-country program here at BVSW, but his vision has reached more than just the program.  He is helping the school, community & the sport of cross-country.  There are not enough words to describe how thankful we are here at Southwest & we hope everyone is able to enjoy the experience as much as we are.

Not to mention a pretty good M.C. for our home meets.  Thank you!
