Canis Lupus?

Thank you for attending the annual Canis-Lupus Cup.  We are thankful that you were able to participate and I hope that this can continue to be a fun, low key, tradition for the runners.  We will have medals & a trophy for the winning team.  The reason it is named the Canis Lupus Cup because this meet came from the need for JV & C-team runners to have an opportunity for competition the week of Rim Rock.  The first two teams that competed were Blue Valley Northwest vs Blue Valley Southwest.  The two mascots are Huskies & Wolves.  Both huskies (along with all dogs) & wolves share the same scientific name, Canis Lupus.

Parent & Fan Information

Parking: Parents & fans need to park in the Blue Valley Southwest High School parking lots. The best way to enter the campus is from the East (Quivira & Garnett Street).  Please DO NOT Park behind Aubry Bend Middle School or next to the Tennis courts, that area is designated for busses, coaches, volunteers &/or meet officials.

Entrance to Course: Parents & Fans can enter the course through the main athletic entrance between the soccer & football fields. Follow the signs between the Softball & Baseball Fields to find the Start of the course. Restrooms will be open near the football field.

See the Yellow Lines on the Campus Map to find Parking & Entrance Locations

Restrooms are connected to the concession stands at the entrance of the football & soccer fields (by the South BVSW parking lot).

Athlete Information

Timing Chips:  ALL ATHLETES need to wear a timing chip on their shoe.  The chips are provided in the packets for the coaches to pick up when they arrive at the meet.  See your coach to get your specific chip number.  Make sure the chip is securely attached to your shoe so that it will not come off in the competition.  The chip on your shoe will allow the timers to match up your place & time correctly.  Your CHIP NEEDS TO BE RETURNED TO YOUR COACH BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE MEET!

Finish Chute:  The finish chute is the area AFTER the finish line.  When athletes cross the finish line, CONTINUE ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE CHUTE!  If too many runners stop just after the finish this can create a backup that will affect incoming athletes who are finishing.
